Jason Lehmbeck Co-Founder While still in college, Jason created one of the first online pizza delivery services, learning early on that necessity truly is the mother of invention. Since then, he has spent the better part of his career dedicated to bringing innovative digital marketing solutions to the marketplace. Prior to co-founding DataPop, Jason ran the emerging ad products team at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for the development and adoption of new advertising solutions. Jason's team partnered with leading marketers to test new models for engaging consumers on video, mobile, targeting and social platforms. During his time at Yahoo!, Jason also managed the company's Submit products sales team. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Jason was director of business development at DoubleClick where he managed partner programs for its technology solutions division. Jason received his B.S. in pizza delivery from Columbia University. Five Data Points about Jason Joined DataPop: Co-founded in July 2008... though mentally I joined a long time ago. John Zimmerman Co-Founder John has spent most of his career working on product and engineering teams facing scaling challenges that made you want to just curl up under your desk and hide. Prior to co-founding DataPop, John was managing director of commercial API programs at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for search marketing platform integrations with Fortune 500 advertisers and key technology partners that touched over $1 Billion in annual revenue. John also worked on the engineering team at Overture Services while they were doubling serving capacity every few months, and prior to that was lucky enough to work at Amazon.com from the wild west days of 1999 through the first quarter of profitability in 2002. He started his career in technology at 3D computer animation company Rhythm and Hues Studios where he got to mess around on a big network for the first time and even write some code for a Playstation video game. John has a BS in Biomechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and is perpetually a few classes away from getting an MBA from the University of Southern California. Chris Gale Sales & Client Services Chris's first job in the Internet space was managing customer fulfillment process and inbound call center operations for the online store of Abercrombie and Fitch based in Columbus, Ohio. He quickly saw the allure of tech (and California) and moved west to work for start-up company ClickShift, where he sold multivariate optimization platforms for paid search campaigns. Chris's sales experience broadened from paid search to the entire customer acquisition funnel while at marketing software provider Revcube, where he worked on campaigns optimizing banners, paid search, and landing pages. Prior to joining DataPop, Chris was an account executive for DoubleClick / Google working with clients like Schwab, Aptimus, Countrywide, Intuit and NewEgg. Chris graduated with honors from UC Santa Cruz in 2002 in Chemistry and Business Management Economics. He is a Pisces, and enjoys snowboarding, live music and theater. David Schwartz Head of Client Services David's focus throughout his career has been helping customers do whatever it is they do best. Before joining DataPop, David was local category director at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for driving adoption of the company's online marketing solutions among local small businesses and national advertisers seeking to advertise locally. While at Yahoo!, he also led the development of Yahoo! Search Marketing's Automotive Category Sales initiatives. Prior to Yahoo!, David was engagement manager for J.D. Power and Associates' Automotive Consulting Practice, working to improve the retail and overall brand experience at a number of major OEMs, including Toyota and Acura. David has an AB and an MS from Stanford, an MBA from UCLA, and is well on his way to breaking the all-time record for lowest income per advanced degree. Five Data Points about David Joined DataPop: In January 2009 as a sales consultant, but quickly learned that I wanted to get on the train full time and signed up to run Client Services in February. Childhood career ambition: Professional golfer, which is still my career ambition, but something tells me that ship has sailed Favorite Ad: Any ad that helps contribute to my life, as opposed to detracting from it. Why I am passionate about my job? Nothing feels better than helping a customer solve a critical business problem. Dylan Johnson Client Services Prior to joining DataPop, Dylan managed technical customer relationships for Yahoo's advertising solutions helping clients optimize their campaigns through the use of analytics, campaign and bid management, APIs and Paid Inclusion. Dylan has a BA from St John's University and is a dedicated fan of Finnish rock music. Five Data Points about Dylan: Joined DataPop: In January 2009 as a client services consultant and Sr. Mgr. Robert Manly Client Services Prior to joining DataPop, Robert headed up the Customer Satisfaction department at JustAnswer. While there, Robert introduced the Net Promoter Score metric and helped analyze and funnel this and other data to ensure the users’ voice was heard. Robert has a tremendous passion for analyzing and leveraging data to enable and drive informed decision-making. Robert has BA with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley and is a dedicated competitive cyclist. Kelvin Li Engineering Kelvin grew up in China and lived there until he moved to Boston to attend university. After graduation, Kelvin worked for Boston Technology (merged with Comverse Technology) building mission critical software for the telecommunications industry. Later, he moved to Hong Kong and continued working in telecommunication for another five years before joining Yahoo! where he provided technical support to affiliate partners and software development to the company's Asian search marketing agencies and resellers. In addition to computer software, Kelvin loves sports... particularly badminton. Raymond Hon Engineering Raymond was born in China, grew up in Hong Kong and when he turned 18, moved to the US to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. After graduating from UCLA with top honors and spending two years doing medical research at USC, Raymond found he favored innovation over routine and made the brave switch to a career in computer programming. For the last 10 years, Raymond has worked as programmer, architect and director for several companies. Early in his career, Ray's entrepreneurial spirit led him to start JustProposed.com, a site that helps consumers create high-quality wedding Web sites. In 2005, Raymond joined Yahoo! in hopes of learning the algorithm to help his site move up to the top of the organic listings. After leaving Yahoo in 2006 Raymond joined Adconion as director of engineering where he successfully helped grow the company from 50 to 300 people with 8 sites globally. Apart from technical adventures, Raymond loves traveling with his family, reading books and watching soccer games. He is a Christian and serves as deacon in his church. Once he has spare time, he would like to explore more on his own country, China. After working as an engineer and in sales, she decided to become a product manager because she enjoys the challenge of hearing about a customer pain and figuring out the best way to solve that problem. Prior to Datapop, Maggie was a product manager at Fox Interactive Media, working on the MySpace self serve ad platform, MyAds. Before FIM, she worked at Yahoo, where she managed technical accounts for the commercial API program. Maggie holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA and a MS in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. John Warden Head of Engineering John has been building software all his life. As a teenager, he started programming neural networks, went on to build a custom business software development company and later co-founded a company that developed a unique technology that teaches people to read foreign languages simply by reading novels. Before joining DataPop, John spent four years at Yahoo!, where he built innovative systems to help advertisers and ad agencies from the Asia-Pacific region scale the number and size of ad campaigns they can effectively manage. At DataPop, John is responsible for building the company's engineering team based in China and developing processes and systems to deliver exceptional marketing solutions for its customers. Outside of work, John spends his time drumming, reading classic fiction and having little adventures around the Pearl River Delta. Chris Bolte Throughout his career, Chris's primary focus has been building products and businesses that cater to the needs of performance based advertisers and marketers. Chris has helped companies engage with targeted consumers across many different platforms and mediums, from national and cable television to online display and search advertising. For the past decade, he has been instrumental in driving the innovation and adoption of search marketing at companies including technology publisher Wired, search providers Hotbot and AltaVista and paid search pioneer, Overture, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2003. During his tenure at Yahoo!, Chris was responsible for the development and incubation of all new performance based advertising products including Yahoo's Data Feed programs and Search Submit Pro. He also ran channel sales, strategy and operations for the company's advertising division. |
